Baratheon Sentinels Unit: A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game

For most armies, the armour worn by the Baratheon Sentinels would count them as heavy infantry. But for House Baratheon, they only are classified as medium infantry. Still, their resilient plate mail can turn away most attacks, while their warhammers make quick work of enemies out on the field. The Baratheon Sentinels Unit Box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Baratheon commanders a new melee unit for their forces. Simple and straightforward, the Sentinels head into battle confident in the power of their armour. On the attacking side of the coin, the Sentinel’s double warhammers can crush enemies under the weight of their mighty blows, easily sundering enemy armour.

Bloody Mummer Skirmishers Unit: A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game

    ,
There are many mercenary companies in Westeros. Each one must find a way to stand out from the rest. The Bloody Mummers do this via garish outfits and makeup, along with wild antics. But it would be only a fool that would think them as mere clowns on the battlefield. Their outfits are not the sign of a friendly disposition. In fact, it more acts as a warning, as the Bloody Mummers are also known as one of the cruellest mercenary companies. The Blood Mummers Skirmishers unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game brings a dedicated melee unit to commander’s armies. Being a Neutral unit, most commanders can pay their price and take them to battle. These colourful jesters are not to be toyed with in combat. Armed with vicious blades, they roll a respectable number of dice in melee. They only get better when attacking an enemy that has not yet activated. Even retaliating against them is dangerous, as their Parry ability will punish those that attack haphazardly.

Baratheon Wardens Expansion: A Song of Ice & Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game

    ,
House Baratheon’s battle doctrine is fairly simple: be strong like iron. They outfit their troops in heavy armour at every level and arm them with the House’s signature warhammer. While this heavy kit does slow down troop movements, the tenacity of their defences can usually see them through. The Baratheon Wardens are the main infantry unit that the House uses, fielding many ranks of these rough and rugged fighters. The Baratheon Wardens unit box for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives House Baratheon commanders a tough, resilient set of troops for their forces. Clad in plate mail and carrying heavy shields, they have a good Defence Save stat, though all of that does slow them down. Their heavy warhammer attacks can crush the enemy’s spirit as much as it can crush their bones. Defending against these pounding attacks can leave enemy troops gasping for air as the strength is sucked from them.

Having only moderate combat abilities, their true strength comes from passing Morale tests. That gives them a Faith token that can later be spent to deal direct Wounds to enemies. The unit also continually regenerates its numbers as the battle goes on, calling up new faithful to join their ranks each time they activate. The unit can be on the verge of destruction one turn, then swell back to full combat strength in a couple turns.

The Warrior's Sons, however, have eschewed all lands and titles, devoting their lives to the Seven. Instead of having servants bring them everything, they have honed their combat skills and owe their service to High Septon. The Warrior's Sons unit box gives Lannister players a righteous arm out on the battlefield. These highly-skilled and well-equipped soldiers are an avenging scythe, cutting down those who oppose them and using their faith to bolster themselves during combat, gaining Faith tokens that they can use for different bonuses and abilities.

When in war, a Commander must take advantage of all of the technology at their disposal. Minor breakthroughs can provide a slight edge on the battlefield, but when a discovery like Wildfire is made, it’s enough to turn the tide of a conflict. With the Pyromancers Unit Box for A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game, Lannister Commanders will be able to take advantage of ‘the substance’; a volatile, green, liquid that sticks to armour and burns the flesh inside. It is a powerful tool on the battlefield, but wielding it can be dangerous, and mishandling it can be disastrous to their own troops. However, it’s worth the risks when they see the panic Wildfire can induce in the opposing forces. The Alchemists’ Guild is about to make its mark on the war.

Spearwives Unit Expansion – A Song of Ice & Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game

    ,
In Westeros, it’s not just the men that will put their lives on the line out on the battlefield. Especially for the free folk, everyone is expected to do their part, and that’s why the Spearwife units were created. But far from just feeble extras, The Spearwives have trained extensively with their weapons of choice, and can be just as deadly as any other soldier. Their short spears are light enough to even be thrown at the enemy, letting the Spearwives cut them down at range. But the real danger comes when they charge. Their sharp spears, with the momentum of a running start, can pierce even the toughest armour. Adding a seasoned Spearwife Matriarch to the unit only enhances their manoeuvrability. This Spearwives unit expansion gives Free Folk commanders a deadly new unit and unit attachment that they can bring to the battlefields of Westeros.

Cave Dweller Savages Unit Expansion – A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game

    ,
They say that war is savage, these men exemplify that... The Free Folk are often framed as simple savages by those that live further south. In many instances, that evaluation is wrong. While the Free Folk don't harbour the trappings of much of civilisation, they are not simply savages. The Cave Dwellers though, well...they actually are simply savages. The Cave Dweller Savages Unit Box gives Free Folk commanders a new option on the battlefield. While the unit is armed simply with scavenged weapons they've found along the way to the battle, and are clothed in not much more than ratty old skins, they are still fearsome on the field, wading into combat with wild abandon. To further their fury, there is the Cave Dweller Alpha Unit Attachment, who can enhance the combat prowess of any unit they join.

Crannogman Trackers Unit Expansion – A Song of Ice & Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game

    ,
The Crannogman Trackers excel at taking down prey from afar. In combat, hitting the enemy without them being able to hit you back is a very powerful ability. In the battles of Westeros, warriors armed with bows can whittle down even heavily-armed foes, bringing victory to one side. In that role, Crannogman Trackers are the unit of choice for Free Folk commanders. They are lightly armed and armored, but that allows them to be quick and nimble. The skill with their bows means enemies risk dying under a hail of missile fire. When joined by a Crannogman Warden, they become even more deadly, giving them a guiding hand to who to attack next. The Crannogman Tracker Unit Box for A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game comes complete with everything a Free Folk player needs to put these harassers on the battlefield. They excel at movement and fighting on enemy flanks. And the Warden Unit Attachment gives them bonuses when attacking foes that have yet to activate.
