The first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, were originally released in Japan on February 27, 1996, launching an entertainment franchise loved by Trainers worldwide.
Since then, February 27 has become known as Pokémon Day, a time to come together and celebrate all things Pokémon!
Pokemon are rewarding their best performing Leagues with an allotment of exclusive promo materials that will include special Pokémon Center exclusives for prizing and because of our amazing community at EH Gaming in York we have made the list 🙂

This is a mixed evening of activity – experienced players can take part in a competitive ‘Best of One’ tournament and we have some great prizes to give away, and collectors will enjoy the promo cards we have to give away as well as the opportunity to trade with other trainers.

Blood on the Clocktower – Monthly Session (June)
EventsOn the stroke of midnight... During a hellish thunderstorm, a scream echoes through the sleepy town of Ravenswood Bluff. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the beloved local storyteller has been murdered, their body hanging limp from the clocktower. As blood drips onto the cobblestones below, a realisation slowly dawns… a demon has been unleashed, killing by night and taking on human form by day. Can good find the demon in time? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful town? Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller. A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village. Pokemon TCG: York July 2025 League Challenge Event
Events, Pokemon TCGWelcome to another OFFICIAL Pokémon TCG League Challenge event at EH Gaming in York... Wednesday July 9th is the date and we hope to see you there - here are the details: Registration: 6pm Round One: 6.30pm This will be a Standard Tournament over 4 rounds. Each round will last 30 minutes and play to a 'Best of 1 game' format. We expect to finish around 9pm. You will need to bring a completed decklist with you, or they can be emailed to the store ahead of the event. An official Pokemon TCG Judge will be present to ensure that any rules questions or challenges are handled smoothly. Prizes: As well as the chance to earn Championship Points, everyone who plays will receive at least 1 Prize Pack and the full prize structure is as follows: 1st Place = 3 extra Prize Packs 2nd Place = 2 extra Prize Packs 3rd & 4th Place = 1 extra Prize Pack NB: Tickets MUST be booked ahead of the event and no walk-ins are available on the day.
