British & Canadian Infantry Winter Medium Mortar Team
British & Canadian Infantry Winter Medium Mortar Team

Bolt Action: British & Canadian Infantry Winter Medium Mortar Team

    , ,
Rain fire in the snow with a Medium Mortar Team! The 81mm mortar was one of the most important British weapons of World War II, providing infantry with close-range indirect fire support. Capable of blasting enemy infantry at short notice, and lightweight enough to be rapidly redeployed wherever they were needed, they fought on all fronts throughout the war. These crewmen are bundled up for cold weather, ensuring that your troops will never be without supporting fire. Medium Mortar teams are one of the core elements of Heavy Weapons Platoons in Bolt Action. Great at pounding enemy infantry and weapons teams with powerful indirect fire, they can range in on enemy units and force them to redeploy or risk destruction. Every Bolt Action collection needs a Medium Mortar! Start ranging in! Contains one metal medium mortar with three Warlord Resin British/Canadian (Winter) crew, and plastic bases.

Bolt Action German Flak 37 8.8cm

Bolt Action: German Flak 37 8.8cm

    , ,
Originally developed as an anti-aircraft weapon, the Flak 37 8.8cm (or Eighty-eight as it became known by Allied troops) had a high muzzle velocity to allow it to reach the higher ranges modern bombers were capable of at the time. This would make it an exceptionally deadly anti-tank weapon as many Allied tank crews would learn to their peril. The 88 could also be deployed as a conventional artillery piece – as one infantryman noted, the 88 was 'anti-everything'... Capable of firing in extremis whilst still attached to its wheeled carriages (although with limited traverse or elevation), the 88 could be fully deployed onto its cruciform firing platform and ready to fire in around two and a half minutes. Many 88s were fitted with a large gunshield although there were many examples of this being dispensed with. Being such a large and heavy weapon it could only be towed by larger prime movers such as the Sd.Kfz 7 halftrack. This Flak 37 kit is supplied with 8.8cm shells and shell cases and can be built to both traverse and elevate - neither enemy armour nor aircraft will be safe! Contents:
    • One 1/56 scale hard plastic WWII 8.8cm Flak 37 dual-purpose AA/AT gun
    • 7 metal German Army crew
    • Bolt Action stat card
    • Full-colour waterslide decal sheet
    • Construction leaflet

    Bolt Action: Anti-Tank Obstacles

    , ,
The development of fast-moving reliable tanks led to many ideas of how to slow or destroy them. Large shaped blocks of concrete, strengthened with a steel core, often called Dragon's Teeth were a good way to block a vehicle's progress. Equally, infantry had to be stopped or channeled away, so engineers on all sides were kept busy constructing wooden and steel frames that held long rolls of taught barbed wire, solid enough to keep away all but the most determined men.

Bolt Action M3 Grant Medium Tank
Bolt Action M3 Grant Medium Tank

Bolt Action: M3 Grant Medium Tank

    , ,
Lead the charge with the M3 Grant Medium Tank! First seeing combat in British hands in 1942, the M3 Medium Tank was designed to serve as an interim tank while the M4 Sherman was developed and put into production. Despite this, it was by no means a poor vehicle, boasting excellent mechanical reliability and powerful firepower, albeit in a somewhat archaic layout. This kit allows you to build the M3, with the British-specification welded turret (known to the British in this configuration as the ‘Grant’), a powerful Medium tank for the mid-war period. In games of Bolt Action we treat the M3 as a Medium tank with a 9+ damage value, armed with a medium anti-tank gun in the hull, and a light anti-tank gun in the turret, plus a medium machine gun! You can also field the Grant in games of Achtung Panzer!, and its rules can be found in the Iron Coffins supplement. Whether in the Western Desert, the jungles of Burma, or defending Britain against a hypothetical invasion, you can do it with a Grant! Box contains one plastic M3 Grant medium tank, decal sheet, Bolt Action vehicle stat card, and vehicle damage markers.

Bolt Action Panzer IV Medium Tank
Bolt Action Panzer IV Medium Tank

Bolt Action: Panzer IV Medium Tank

    , ,
Whilst the propaganda headlines may well have gone to the big cats such as the Panther and the Tiger, the Panzer IV was the backbone of German armoured capability throughout the war. You can choose to build your Panzer IV as one of three different variants:
    • The short-barrelled Ausf. F1.
    • The long-barrelled Ausf. G with its distinctive ball muzzle brake. Respectfully known by British forces in the desert campaign as the 'Mark 4 Special' it saw action in the Western Desert and the Russian Front primarily.
    • The Ausf H with its new muzzle brake and protective schürzen side skirts. A regular sight on late war battlefields, the Ausf H is one of the iconic Panzers of the war.
As with the other Bolt Action plastic vehicles, this kit is highly detailed yet easy to build. It provides a rugged gaming piece and will also appeal to painters and modellers. The Panzer IV comes with a comprehensive waterslide decal sheet, allowing you to finish your new tank off perfectly! This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat. Its rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
