Black Powder: Vive l’Empereur! (French Peninsular Veterans)
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesMurdering their way out of a Spanish prison hulk, Chef de battalion François Léon de Rochebaron and his loyal band of followers began their journey into infamy. After the brutal experience at the hands of his Spanish captors, the once honourable de Rochebaron swore unwavering vengeance on the enemies of France. Thus the legend of the 'The Butchers' of the 73rd Line Regiment was born. In battle, no quarter was ever given as they became the scourge of the Spanish peninsular. It was only when les Bouchers met an English battalion at Grijo in 1809 did they finally meet men who could match their ignoble method of waging war. During the battle, De Rochebaron fought a bloody and protracted duel with an English Captain, matched in its viciousness by the scrap at their feet between his beloved poodle, Fifi and the British mongrel, Duchess. While all combatants survived this encounter, they swore to meet again and settle the matter. Cast in the finest Warlord Resin, these superb miniatures are dripping with character – from the vengeful, Rochebaron down to the regiment's mascot, Fifi the poodle.Original price was: £29.50.£23.60Current price is: £23.60. -
Black Powder: O’er the Hills and Far Away (British Peninsular Veterans)
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesThe 3rd Battalion of Detachments, struck from all official records, exemplified Brigadier General Alan Campbell’s view, “I have collected several detachments of recovered men belonging to Sir J. Moore’s army, whom I found scattered in all directions, without necessaries, and some of them committing every possible excess that could render the name of a British soldier odious to the nation.” During the Douro campaign and capture of the city of Oporto in 1809, the 3rd Battalion had its first taste of action near the village of Grijo. There they crossed bayonets with the infamous French regiment, les Bouchers (the Butchers). The bloody encounter was also notable for the savage dog fight between Duchess, the 3rd’s bull terrier mascot, and the French poodle, Fifi, both animals leaving their mark. These exceptional miniatures are oozing character and cast in finest Warlord Resin are a must for any self-respecting (and those not quite so self-respecting) Napoleonic British wargamer.Original price was: £29.50.£23.60Current price is: £23.60. -
Black Powder: 2nd Edition Waterloo Starter Set
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesOn a damp, overcast Sunday in June 1815, twenty years of continuous warfare the Napoleonic Wars came to a violent and bloody conclusion on a rain-soaked field in Belgium. These wars were truly a world affair, with European powers fighting battles not only on the mainland of Europe but as far as India, Egypt, the Caribbean and America. The greatest generals of the age finally faced each other on the field of battle; The Duke of Wellington, rooted to a little-known ridge, faced, the Emperor of the French. Napoleon Bonaparte, master of the attack, opposed brigades of British, Germans, Dutch and Belgians; brigades of an infamous army that, despite horrific casualties, clung to the ridge for over nine hours to ensure that the arrival of BlǬcher's Prussian army would put the Duke victory beyond doubt. Black Powder: Napoleonic Spanish Infantry 1st Battalion (1805-1811)
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesNapoleon Bonaparte's seemingly invincible French army suffered their first defeat of the Napoleonic Wars at the hands of the Spanish Army at Baylen in 1808. This was arguably the zenith of the Spanish army’s achievements during the wars. History has not looked back favourably on the armies of Spain during the Napoleonic Wars. They suffered many defeats but also pinned down huge numbers of French troops in a vicious war that sapped the strength of innumerable French units only too glad to leave a country where they were so hated. Although the vicious Spanish guerrillas wreaked havoc upon their French foes the Spanish regulars also caused thousands of casualties on their home soil. Black Powder: Chosen Men – British 95th Rifles
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesThe 95th Rifles were an elite unit of hard marching, sharp shooting light infantry that served in many bloody battles of the Napoleonic Wars. Unusually they did not wear the classic red coat of the British army, but instead a dark bottle green uniform which gave them their nickname of the ‘Sweeps’ or the ‘Grasshoppers’ by their French foes. They were equipped with the Baker rifle – a supremely accurate weapon for the period – which would hit single targets at ranges unheard of for the smoothbore muskets which most other troops carried. They earned a superb reputation in the Peninsular campaign and later at Waterloo, being battalions that Wellington could rely upon. To help maintain the effectiveness of the companies, reliable and trusted men would be issued with a white tape around the arm distinguishing them as ‘chosen men’ and expected to inspire the rank and file. To make up for the short length of their rifles, they were issued with wicked looking sword bayonets, long enough to give a parity against an enemy bayonet.Original price was: £37.00.£29.60Current price is: £29.60. -
Black Powder Epic Battles: American Civil War Guts & Glory Starter Set
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesIn 1861, the Southern States saw Abraham Lincoln’s election to President of the fledgling United States of America as a direct threat to their states' rights and way of life. Lincoln, determined to preserve the Union and end slavery, raised the Army of the Potomac and throughout the nation brother fought brother. The Epic Battles system allows for gamers to refight these battles on a huge scale. Black Powder: British Union Brigade Cavalry
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesDuring the Hundred Days campaign of 1815, it was the 2nd British heavy cavalry brigade – made up of three elite heavy dragoon regiments – that smashed the enormous attack columns of d’Erlon’s corps in the opening moves at Waterloo, putting to flight, capturing or killing thousands of French infantry. Not content with such a feat they continued on to harry the French gun line before becoming blown, over-extended and driven back with staggering casualties by vengeful French horse. The Union Brigade was named thus as it was made up of three units: 1st Royal Regiment of Dragoons (English), 2nd Regiment of Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys), and the 6th Dragoons (the Inniskillens from Ireland). All clad in red, they rode particularly large and aggressive horses – Britain had the pick of the best horses in this period. This set allows you to build any of the three regiments in the Union Brigade as well as headgear options for the Peninsular campaign. Black Powder: Anglo-Zulu War – British Line Infantry Regiment
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesThe average British redcoat was the most dangerous animal in Africa, equipped as he was with the Martini-Henry breech-loading rifle which he was capable of firing 15 times a minute out to 1,200 yards range in volley fire if needs be. His legendary discipline, his marching ability (enough to traverse all manner of terrain) and his determination to fight his enemies, which were legion, all made the British redcoat an implacable foe. Well led, well-equipped and thoroughly trained in their abilities, they blazed a trail for Empire all over the world. Cheerful and confident the redcoats of the County Regiments served their sovereign well, smashing their enemy with concentrated rifle fire and, if necessary, selling their lives dearly behind the thrust of their wicked long bayonets. These Redcoats models represent any British unit of the Anglo-Zulu War. Contains:Original price was: £25.00.£19.99Current price is: £19.99.- Enough plastic components to make 24 British Infantry with Martini Henry Rifles.

Sir Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, rooted his Allied army to the ridge at Waterloo for over nine hours as Bonaparte’s French threw everything at them. Black Powder: French Napoleonic Hussars
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesNapoleonic warfare saw bewildering varieties of exotic uniforms worn by the various armies that marched and fought in the early 19th century. There were none so exotic and magnificent as the Hussar regiments of the French army. These dashing light cavalry donned outfits originally inspired by Turkish, and later Hungarian, cavalry. Each of the fourteen regiments formed wore a differing uniform, with the result that a Hussar brigade made a most impressive sight. Mounted on small but tough horses, they were used on campaign in scouting and raiding roles. Their élan and dash made up for their smaller mounts and lack of armour on the field of battle. Principally armed with the curved light cavalry sabre they could also carry a carbine, or more commonly a pistol, into the fray. Box set Contains:Original price was: £27.50.£21.99Current price is: £21.99.- 12 plastic easy-build French Hussars.
- 1 additional metal officer and metal horse.
- 1 additional metal bugler.

Black Powder: French Napoleonic Chasseurs a Cheval
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesFormed originally back in 1743, the Chasseurs à Cheval (mounted hunters) were hard riding, green clad light cavalry whose main role was patrolling and raiding for the French armies. A good Chasseur was at home on his light horse, skirmishing with the enemy cavalry or scouting enemy movements and thus providing valuable intelligence for their commanders. Armed with carbine, curved sabre and bayonet (an item disliked by the cavalrymen who used it to dig up vegetables or ‘lost’ it on campaign) the Chasseurs were most happy in the saddle, although they were also trained to fight on foot should the need arise. Contains:Original price was: £27.50.£21.99Current price is: £21.99.- 12 plastic easy-build French Light Cavalry
- 1 metal officer and horse
- Optional metal parts to make a trumpeter and eagle bearer

Black Powder: British Line Infantry (Peninsular War)
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesWidely held as the finest body of fighting men to have fought under the Union flag, the British army in the Peninsular campaign tasted defeat but were far more often to be found savouring yet another victory over their old foe, the French. Led by great commanders such as Moore, Crauford and Wellesley, the British army was a well-drilled and, on the whole, disciplined force that saw service on the Iberian Peninsula from 1808 until the end of the campaign in 1814. The redcoated British foot regiments were ably supported by their Portugese, Spanish and German allies in addition to their countrymen in the cavalry and artillery. This multi-national force subjected defeat after defeat on Bonaparte's French, bringing such battle honours as Vitoria, Salamanca, Talavera, and the brutal siege of Badajoz into British military legend. Contains:Original price was: £27.50.£21.99Current price is: £21.99.- 20 plastic easy-build British Line Infantry.

Black Powder: Napoleonic Portuguese Line Infantry

Black Powder: Anglo-Zulu War – Unmarried Zulu Impi
Black Powder, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesUsuthu! The feared Zulu warcry of 'Kill!' shouted by hundreds of brave, fierce warriors would put fear into the hearts of most men. The men shouting this battle-cry have a lot to prove as they are the unmarried warriors of the Zulu impis. Zulu tradition held that until they 'washed their spears' in the blood of an enemy of the King they could not choose a girl to marry, so closing and killing an enemy ensured a bride and a greatly enhanced status. These young bloods moved swiftly in extended order, sniping with their selection of antique firearms or hurling long spears some 30 yards with great accuracy. Although generally stripping down for close quarter fighting, a Zulu dressed in full regalia was an awe-inspiring sight, with monkey tails, otter fur, cow tails and crane feathers creating a look that might overwhelm a foe by looks alone. Warlord Games give you the chance to field whole unique regiments or to field some of the more traditional units, and however you assemble and paint them they will look a brave sight on the battlefield. Contains:Original price was: £25.00.£19.99Current price is: £19.99.- Enough plastic components to make 32 Unmarried Zulus.
