Bolt Action, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesInfantry weapons teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, providing as they do great tactical flexibility for your force. Sniper teams, anti-tank teams and flamethrower teams are among the most prevalent, presenting your opponent with multiple challenges to overcome. The American Bazooka was first used in North Africa and on Tarawa in November 1942. The first version (M1A1) had two grips and a wooden support. By 1943 the new version was released which no longer had the front grip but had an improved electrical firing system. The final version was longer (1.55m) and improved the range from 200-250 yards to 300 yards. The M6 HEAT rocket could easily penetrate 76mm of armour at 30 degrees or 110mm at 90 degrees. The tasks of scouting and sniping were similar in American doctrines. In the US manual it was clearly stated that the duty of a sniper was to kill enemy officers in order to damage the morale of enemy troops. They were equipped with a telescopic sight on a M1903 bolt-action Springfield rifle, and also had close-combat weapons such as pistols and shotguns with which to defend themselves if discovered. Both members of the team had sniper training so the role of spotter was interchangeable. Flamethrowers were used throughout the war, especially in the Pacific, to clear out tunnels and bunkers. Konflikt 47, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesNB: THIS IS A PREORDER PRODUCT AND RELEASES IN LATE NOVEMBER Bring death from above and support the US Fireflies with the heavily armed Linebacker Jump Walker! Following the disastrous drop assault on Collegno in 1946, the limitations of the original M2 Mudskipper series became clear. While a perfectly satisfactory design, the Firefly jump infantry were in need of more versatile fire support when they dropped into combat. American designers developed an extensive series of refits for the Mudskipper to increase its tactical flexibility. An M21 Tesla cannon and innovative new universal mounts for secondary weapons enabled the walker to be quickly configured to face a wide variety of threats, more articulated legs and feet were much more resilient to the pressures of high-impact landings, and a new control system enabled it to be piloted by a single crewman without loss of utility. The new variant was dubbed the M2A5, and officially considered a continuation of the Mudskipper line rather than a distinct vehicle, but crews and Firefly troopers alike quickly dubbed it the ‘Linebacker’. The combat debut of the new model came in May 1947 when 200 Linebackers were rushed to the front line to help breach Axis lines during the siege of Stuttgart during Operation Valentine. This highly detailed, multi-part plastic kit allows you to assemble a Linebacker armed with its signature M21 Light Tesla Cannon on one arm, and any from a variety of options on the other, Twin HMGs, Twin Automatic Cannons, or Twin Super Bazookas. Bolt Action, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesOriginally developed as an anti-aircraft weapon, the Flak 37 8.8cm (or Eighty-eight as it became known by Allied troops) had a high muzzle velocity to allow it to reach the higher ranges modern bombers were capable of at the time. This would make it an exceptionally deadly anti-tank weapon as many Allied tank crews would learn to their peril. The 88 could also be deployed as a conventional artillery piece – as one infantryman noted, the 88 was 'anti-everything'... Capable of firing in extremis whilst still attached to its wheeled carriages (although with limited traverse or elevation), the 88 could be fully deployed onto its cruciform firing platform and ready to fire in around two and a half minutes. Many 88s were fitted with a large gunshield although there were many examples of this being dispensed with. Being such a large and heavy weapon it could only be towed by larger prime movers such as the Sd.Kfz 7 halftrack. Bolt Action: Carro Armato / Semovente Tank
Bolt Action, Tabletop Games, Warlord GamesOriginal price was: £25.00.£19.99Current price is: £19.99.Produced by Fiat Ansaldo, the M13/40 was the main battle tank of the Italian army in World War II and served throughout the war following its introduction in 1940. Although designated as a medium tank it was more in line with the light tanks of other nations at the time. With armour up to 42mm thick, and armed with a 47mm main gun backed up by up to four 8mm machine guns, it carried a four-man crew. Its diesel engine, whilst underpowered, giving a top speed of around 20mph, was less vulnerable to catching fire and had better range than petrol-fuelled vehicles. The most widely produced Italian tank of the war, the M13/40 battled on in the Western Desert and Italy despite Allied tanks far eclipsing it in firepower, speed and protection. This superb plastic kit can alternatively be assembled as a Semovente tank. The Semovente 75/18 self-propelled gun brings some much needed armoured reinforcements to Italian forces. The Semovente was an Italian self-propelled gun, built by mounting the 75mm Obice da 75/18 modello 34 mountain gun on the chassis of a M13/40 or M14/41 tank. It had riveted steel plates, which were thicker but also less sloped than in the original tank. Frontal armour was almost vertical, but it consisted of two plates rather than a single layer, which improved stopping power. You may think these tanks may only be for Italian Bolt Action armies, but you’d be dead wrong. Captured examples of the M13 were used by the Australians at Tobruk and the Germans were known to use Semoventes.
