In the early days of the Old Dominion the Kataphraktoi were the Caelesors chosen Companions, or Hetairoi, armed with the finest arms and armor he could furnish and mounted atop the greatest steeds he could find. As the Old Dominion evolved, these ancient formations were abandoned, but not the title of Hetairos. Granted to the greatest champions of the Old Dominon, this was a title granted only by the Caelesor himself for deeds of valor upon the field of battle. Some of that prowess and glory remain in their withered remnants, and the Hetairoi are the first among equals in a Kataphraktoi warband, their mere presence reminding their companions of the glorious charges of ages past. How they Play: Hetairos or colloquially known as “Companions” are veterans that have proven themselves to their superiors and higher command and entrusted to lead the mighty Kataphraktoi into battle. This Officer allows the Regiment to further lean into its shock cavalry role and deliver devastating flank charges where the fighting is thickest! Battlefield Role: Officer Type: Cavalry

NB: This is a Triple Kit. It contains 12 Plastic Miniatures and can make your choice of one of three units - Imperial Rangers, Hunter Cadre, or Longbowmen, with the option of making their respective command models. The Imperial Ranger Corps was born in the early years of the Tellian Empire when its expansion gave the Imperial family more lands than it could reasonable and safely manage. A group of expert woodsmen was hired to explore, catalogue, and safeguard these lands. After the fall of the Empire successive Chamberlains have reinforced and expanded the role of the Imperial Ranges, given their intimate knowledge of not only them Imperial Households lands, but all lands in between making them the fearsome force they are today, equally at home on the field as they are in the woods.
