Bolt Action Humber MK II/IV armoured car

Bolt Action: Humber MK II/IV Armoured Car

    , ,
The British and Commonwealth forces operated a considerable reconnaissance element that scouted ahead of the main armoured force, searching for enemy troop positions and dispositions. The Humber Armoured Car was one such vehicle used for this role, more than able to hold its own against other light vehicles and infantry. From the parched deserts of Africa to the streets and fields of Europe, the Humber Armoured Car spearheaded the Allied advance. Replacing the aging Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, the newly designed Humber Armoured Car quickly became a mainstay of the Commonwealth forces, particularly in the North Africa desert war. Initially armed with one 15mm and one 7.92mm Besa machine guns. The later Mk IV replaced the 15mm gun with a US M5 or M6 37mm anti-tank gun. So successful was the Humber that it served throughout the war, including in the North West Europe and Burma campaigns. Includes one plastic Humber Armoured Car model, Bolt Action Order dice, Bolt Action stat card, vehicle damage markers, assembly booklet and a full-colour waterslide decal sheet for British, Commonwealth, and Polish vehicles. In games of Bolt Action the Humber is an armoured car (DV 7+) with a light autocannon (MkII) or a light anti-tank gun (MkIV). It can be included in armoured platoons. This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, its rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.

Bolt Action M3 Grant Medium Tank
Bolt Action M3 Grant Medium Tank

Bolt Action: M3 Grant Medium Tank

    , ,
Lead the charge with the M3 Grant Medium Tank! First seeing combat in British hands in 1942, the M3 Medium Tank was designed to serve as an interim tank while the M4 Sherman was developed and put into production. Despite this, it was by no means a poor vehicle, boasting excellent mechanical reliability and powerful firepower, albeit in a somewhat archaic layout. This kit allows you to build the M3, with the British-specification welded turret (known to the British in this configuration as the ‘Grant’), a powerful Medium tank for the mid-war period. In games of Bolt Action we treat the M3 as a Medium tank with a 9+ damage value, armed with a medium anti-tank gun in the hull, and a light anti-tank gun in the turret, plus a medium machine gun! You can also field the Grant in games of Achtung Panzer!, and its rules can be found in the Iron Coffins supplement. Whether in the Western Desert, the jungles of Burma, or defending Britain against a hypothetical invasion, you can do it with a Grant! Box contains one plastic M3 Grant medium tank, decal sheet, Bolt Action vehicle stat card, and vehicle damage markers.

This kit allows you to build the M3 (known to the British in this configuration as the ‘Lee’), a powerful Medium tank able to be fielded by US, British, and Soviet forces. You can build this vehicle with the earlier short-barrelled or later long-barrelled main gun - in games of Bolt Action we treat the M3 as a Medium tank with a 9+ damage value, armed with a medium anti-tank gun in the hull, and a light anti-tank gun in the turret, plus a medium machine gun! Bolt Action British Canadian 1943-45 Starter Army

Bolt Action: British & Canadian (1943-45) Starter Army

    , ,
To stem the aggression from Germany, Italy and Japan, Britain and her Commonwealth put huge numbers of men into uniform in WWII. Her small but professional army was swallowed up defending a worldwide Empire and soon her forces were shattered and in full retreat, culminating in crushing reverses at Dunkirk and in Singapore. However, Britain stoically declined to surrender and her army was reforged, fighting back against the might of the Axis powers. The Tommies, as they were known, learned new techniques on the field of battles and by war’s end were a highly effective fighting force having fought from the opening of hostilities in 1939 to the war’s end in 1945. Containing no less than 36 highly customizable plastic infantry, supplemented by weapons teams, transports and a Churchill tank (itself highly customizable as you can build any one of seven variants) this boxed set gives you a highly effective and balanced starting force for a British or Canadian army. Contains:
    • 36 British or Canadian Infantry (plastic)
    • British Army MMG team (metal)
    • British Army medium mortar team (metal)

A fantastic option for any British Bolt Action player in need of armoured transports for their Rifle Platoons (or indeed any Platoon that needs to go somewhere dangerous!), the Priest Kangaroo combines good carrying capacity with decent armour, and can also lay down some supporting fire, courtesy of the pintle-mounted heavy machine gun! Black Powder: O’er the Hills and Far Away (British Peninsular Veterans)

    , ,
The 3rd Battalion of Detachments, struck from all official records, exemplified Brigadier General Alan Campbell’s view, “I have collected several detachments of recovered men belonging to Sir J. Moore’s army, whom I found scattered in all directions, without necessaries, and some of them committing every possible excess that could render the name of a British soldier odious to the nation.” During the Douro campaign and capture of the city of Oporto in 1809, the 3rd Battalion had its first taste of action near the village of Grijo. There they crossed bayonets with the infamous French regiment, les Bouchers (the Butchers). The bloody encounter was also notable for the savage dog fight between Duchess, the 3rd’s bull terrier mascot, and the French poodle, Fifi, both animals leaving their mark. These exceptional miniatures are oozing character and cast in finest Warlord Resin are a must for any self-respecting (and those not quite so self-respecting) Napoleonic British wargamer.

Whilst the average Tommy is reluctant to tackle some of the horrors of the modern battlefield, specially trained and bred war dogs have few problems in doing so. With the increasing influence of Rift-tech science to make the dogs faster and stronger, packs of these animals can be released to savage the enemy. The handlers of these dogs are usually quite relieved when they can retire to the rear having set the dogs on their course of destruction.

Konflikt ’47: British Commonwealth Automated Carrier

    , ,
As British research and development continue in the embryonic fields of automation and automotive intelligence, the combination of automated control units and armoured vehicles is a logical progression. With no requirement for crew comfort and with a greater tolerance to shock, noise and impact, an automated vehicle offers the opportunity to place larger weapon systems on relatively small, agile and hard to hit platforms. The initial trials proved largely successful, with the combat potential of these vehicles deemed worth the occasional processing glitches and failures. With trials completed, the deployment of large numbers of automated carriers is the first large-scale field test of this concept. Using the ubiquitous universal carrier as a base, two automated infantry units are hardwired into the vehicle, one as a driver and the other as a gunner. With any redundant limbs or body parts removed, the AI units take little space which allows a mounting of a twin auto-cannon weapon system. This firepower would be unworkable with a human crew due to the recoil, noise levels and cramped crew space, but works with automated crew perfectly.

Konflikt ’47: Tesla AT Gun (British Army Crew)

    , ,
The directed energy weapons conceived and developed by Nikola Tesla have had an immediate impact on the battlefield. Even heavily-armoured vehicles are vulnerable to electricity and with a dispersion setting, squads of infantry can be attacked just as easily. Whilst relatively short ranged and bulky, they are effective against both vehicles and infantry, which makes them popular with the tank crews that use them. Tactically the glow of the Tesla Cannon’s coils makes ambushes and fighting at night difficult, but the psychological effect of the electrical arcs on enemy soldiers is worth the side effects.

    Konflikt ’47: British Commonwealth Grenadiers

    , ,
In order to test new equipment and technology coming from the UK’s Rift-tech labs and workshops, the 7th Bn Grenadier Guards were seconded to the Rift Research Department in order to provide troops to trial new equipment and technology. Once initial trials were completed, platoons of the Battalion would deploy forward to test the equipment on the front line, often to the benefit of the infantry they were supporting, but occasionally proving a project a disappointing failure. Over the past two years, the Battalion has developed a greater understanding of the weaponry at its disposal and is now considered an elite shock unit as much as an R&D unit. This, of course, fits nicely with the role the Grenadiers and the Guards Division has played in the British Army’s history. Although technically still part of the Guard’s Division, the unit is often referred to as The Grenadiers, or more recently, the Rift Grenadiers. Contains 10 miniatures.
