    Bolt Action Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

    Bolt Action: Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

    , ,
Based on the reliable Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis, almost 3,000 of Hetzers (Baiters) were built by the war’s end. Their small size and very low profile gave them distinct advantages in the role of tank hunters. In addition, the Hetzer wasn’t hampered by the mechanical problems associated with the larger tank destroyers such as the Jagdpanther and Jagdtiger, nor did it have the unprotected fighting compartment of the Nashorn or Marder tank hunters. plus its remote control roof machine gun gave it good close defence capability. Hetzers equipped many Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht (even the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine) formations, seeing action on all fronts on which Germany fought as well as with the Hungarian army. The first Hetzers entered service with 731st and 743rd Heeres Panzerjäger Abteilung in May/June of 1944. This plastic boxed set allows you to build one of three vehicle types: A mid/late production Hetzer, Flammpanzer 38(t) and 2cm FlaK auf Hetzer reconnaissance/AA vehicle. Includes: one 1/56th scale hard plastic Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer, vehicle damage markers, full-colour assembly and painting guide, Bolt Action stat cards and waterslide decal sheet (for German and Hungarian vehicles). This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, its rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.

    Bolt Action M18 Hellcat
    Bolt Action M18 Hellcat

    Bolt Action: M18 Hellcat

    , ,
The Hellcat’s prodigious speed was attained by keeping its armour to no more than 1″ thick. Hellcat crews quickly took advantage of the vehicle’s speed to avoid being fired on and to outflank the heavily armoured German tanks. The M18 Hellcat first saw service in Italy but rose to fame in North West Europe, dominating German tanks (including Panthers) at Arracourt then playing a key role in the Battle of the Bulge. It also saw action in the Pacific in US and Chinese Nationalist service, being used more in the fire support role as Japanese tanks posed little threat. In games of Bolt Action the Hellcat is classed as an armoured car (Damage Value 7+) with a heavy anti-tank gun and the option to add a pintle mounted HMG, with the Fast and Recce special rules. It can be included in Amoured Platoons. Contains:
    • 1 M18 Hellcat plastic kit
    • 1 Waterslide transfer set
    • 1 Full colour construction and paint guide
    • 1 Colour, Bolt Action stat card
This vehicle can also be used in games of Achtung Panzer!, the game of close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, its rules can be found in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.

Seeing action in all theatres of war in which German forces participated it was also fielded by Romanian, Bulgarian and Nationalist Chinese armies. Includes one plastic model that can be built as either an Sd.Kfz 222 or Sd.Kfz 223, Bolt Action Order dice, Bolt Action stat card, vehicle damage markers, assembly booklet and a full-colour waterslide decal sheet covering German, Romanian, Bulgarian and Nationalist Chinese vehicles. Bolt Action: Anti-Tank Obstacles

    , ,
The development of fast-moving reliable tanks led to many ideas of how to slow or destroy them. Large shaped blocks of concrete, strengthened with a steel core, often called Dragon's Teeth were a good way to block a vehicle's progress. Equally, infantry had to be stopped or channeled away, so engineers on all sides were kept busy constructing wooden and steel frames that held long rolls of taught barbed wire, solid enough to keep away all but the most determined men.

Bolt Action: US Army Winter Support Group

    , ,
Although caught unawares and ill-equipped by Hitler’s last gamble in the West – the Battle of the Bulge – embattled US troops won through whilst staving off the twin foes of the German offensive and the harsh winter conditions. Clad in greatcoats, Mackinaw jackets and anything else to keep the bitter cold at bay, the soldiers of the US Army fought, and most often won, in the cold against their Italian and German adversaries. US Army officers – mindful of enemy snipers picking them out – dressed and armed themselves much like the other ranks. The reliable .30 Cal medium machine gun gave the GI squads devastating firepower whilst also being supported by accurate suppressive fire from 81mm medium mortars. This box set contains the following:
    • 3 officers with carbine/rifle
    • 1 medic
    • 1 radio operator/spotter
    • 1 medium mortar team
    • 1 MMG team

During the Second World War the US Marines spearheaded the American response to Japanese aggression, leading to a ferocious island-hopping campaign. Bolt Action: Polish Infantry Squad in Greatcoats

    , ,
Despite facing the double invasion of their homeland in 1939 by both Germany and the Soviet Union, the vastly outnumbered Polish military fought with bravery and tenacity. The Polish army in 1939 was large, well-officered and relatively well-equipped. It fought hard, but was entirely outmanoeuvred by fast-moving German armoured thrusts supported by all arms in a new dynamic style of war that a largely foot-slogging Polish army could not match. When the Soviets joined the fight and also invaded Poland, bisecting the country, it was too much for an already over-extended army short of armour and air support to hold out against – the end was inevitable. The Poles put up a dogged resistance to the two invading forces despite, in some cases, being utterly outnumbered. There were many desperate actions where the Poles fought the invaders to a standstill, and the stoic infantry held their ground whilst their dashing Polish cavalry caught the enemy by surprise. Equipped with Mauser rifles, great coats, and standard polish uniform. Warlord sculptor Wojtek brought these heroes to life in full kit, fighting in the early autumn of 1939. Contains a metal 10-man Polish Infantry Squad:
    • 1 NCO with rifle
    • 1 soldier with automatic rifle
    • 8 riflemen

Bolt Action: Polish Army Support Group

    , ,
Polish HQ Considering the country’s location and involvement in major European conflicts for centuries, Polish officers came from a society that valued a proud military tradition. After the end of World War I, having freshly wrested its independence from neighboring powers, Poland was in a state of almost constant conflict. Most of the officers in Poland’s military were experienced and capable leaders. Polish Medium Machine Gun Team An almost exact copy of the American M1917 machine gun, the Polish military fielded its CKM wz.30 machine gun in a fashion similar to that of other European nations. It fired a 7.92mm round, like those utilized by most riflemen. Several thousand of these were produced for Poland’s armed forces during the build-up to World War II. The CKM Hotchkiss wz.14 was also used as was the CKM Maxim. Polish Medium Mortar Team Poland made use of 81mm mortars of similar design to most other nations at the time. These weapons were not as commonplace in the Polish Army as they were in other forces. Nonetheless, when available, they proved a reliable firing platform for the Polish crews manning them.

Bolt Action: Polish Army Weapons Teams

    , ,
Infantry weapons teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, providing as they do great tactical flexibility for your force. Sniper teams, light mortar teams and anti-tank rifle teams are among the most prevalent, presenting your opponent with multiple challenges to overcome. Like many other nations, Poland learned well the lessons of World War I, and saw the value in close-support mortar weaponry. Many infantry companies were issued 46mm light mortars to fulfil this close support role. The Polish Army didn’t include specially equipped snipers as such, but the best shots in a company would be designated as marksmen. The Polish wz.35 anti-tank rifle was unusual in that it did not fire a solid tungsten core round as did most other nations’ anti-tank rifles. Rather, it fired a standard lead core with a steel jacket. Instead of penetrating the hull like traditional anti-tank rounds, the transferred energy would cause spalling (making a piece of armour tear off inside the crew compartment) that lead to fragments ricocheting around the inside of the vehicle – a very nasty affair for the crew! Contains three Bolt Action Order Dice and the following Warlord Resin Plus figures:
    • 2-man Light Mortar team
    • 2-man Sniper team
    • 2-man Anti-tank rifle team

Infantry weapons teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, providing as they do great tactical flexibility for your force. Sniper teams, anti-tank teams and flamethrower teams are among the most prevalent, presenting your opponent with multiple challenges to overcome. British forces were armed with 2-inch mortar for close support purposes. Two men were needed to operate it. An NCO was responsible for carrying and firing the weapon while the other carried ammunition. Weighing less than 11Ibs and offering an effective range of 500 yards, these mortars were quick to manoeuvre and deploy as needed. Snipers were armed with a SMLE No.4 Rifle equipped with a No.32 Mk.1 telescopic sight. The team carried fifty rounds of ammunition, five tracer round and fiver-armour-piercing rounds. Two No.36 Mills bombs or two No.77 smoke grenades were also carried, along with binoculars and a camouflage net. The portable flamethrower available to British forces was the Ack Pack. At a weight of 64Ibs, the Ack Packs could be carried and operated by one man. Fully loaded, the Ack Pack was capable of ten bursts each of a two second duration. With a range of fifty yards it was a truly fearsome weapon that excelled in clearing bunkers and buildings. Contains the following Warlord Resin Plus figures:
    • 2-man Light Mortar team
    • 2-man Sniper team
