Mega-City One has been the target of violent coups, crime wars, otherworldly onslaughts and foreign invasions – each being the brainchild of a villain wanting to see the city, Justice Department and/or Dredd himself perish... Sov agent Orlok the Assassin nearly brought the city to its knees with the Block Mania drug – a deadly precursor to the invasion from East-Meg forces. Judge Death, a Dark Judge from Deadworld, where life itself is considered a crime and the sentence is death. The sole surviving member of the infamous Angel Gang, Mean Machine Angel is a psychopath with a dial on his forehead regulating his anger levels! Judge Grice was a disgraced Judge who broke out of the high-security prison on the Saturn moon of Titan. He became de facto Chief Judge during his bloody coup. Crime Lord Nero Narcos unleashed what is sometimes referred to as the Second Robot War, tearing the Justice Department apart with his army of lethal drones, and booby-trapping the Judges’ Mark II Lawgivers.

Mega-City One attracts dangerous and daring individuals… Martial arts master Stan Lee (AKA Deathfist) is one of a few who have bested Judge Dredd in close combat. Former rookie Judge Blanche Tatum (AKA The Executioner) is sworn to kill her husband’s murderers. Corrupt Judge Rico was arrested by his clone brother, Joe Dredd, and sent to Titan’s penal colony. Devlin Waugh, athlete, bon vivant and vampire, possesses a deep knowledge of matters paranormal. Some eccentric citizens don caped outfits and pledge to defend the city with their ‘superpowers’.

This expansion for the Judge Dredd Miniatures Game introduces a whole new level of play to your tabletop – the (in)famous block wars of Mega-City One! Each player builds their own block with unique characteristics, gathers their residents together, and then unleashes them on the self-satisfied citizens of a neighboring block - who have had everything their own way for far too long! Included are new rules for use in the Judge Dredd Miniatures Game; new characters and units, new Armory cards to add to your deck, and a brand-new Block War deck that brings the sheer violence and chaos of a block war to the tabletop – along with a lot of Judges! The block war campaign allows players to marshal their forces, from common citizenry to the (self-proclaimed) elite forces of the Citi-Def, and then play through a number of battles that show the key moments of the block war. As the war escalates, new scenarios are unlocked, damage can be done to the enemy block, and with enough of a rival effort, you may just be able to destroy the physical foundations of a block and send it crashing into City Bottom in a fiery cloud of dust, rubble, and falling citizens.

In the 2080s speed and volume eating, ‘scoffing’, became a competitive sport and extreme obesity became the desired body image for many Mega-City citizens. In retaliation to the percieved injustice of the food restrictions following the Apocalypse War, militant elements of the obese founded the ‘League of Fatties’ believing they had an inalienable right to food, which they would take by any means necessary. Whilst an individual Fattie might seem a less than threatening figure, the first food raids saw massed wedges of obese activists trundling forward supported by their BeliWheels®. With their layers of flab providing a natural armour against anything but the most lethal weapons, little could stop them once momentum was gained. Large numbers of ‘Skinnies’ and ‘Bones’ were crushed in the stampedes and from belly flops but, after the death of several Judges trying to protect a food storage facility, a crackdown was swift. Most Fatties were confined to special Fat Blocks, kept on strict diets for the maintenance of public order and their own protection until their weight fell below the 300-kilogram mark.

To the average Mega-City One inhabitant, the most obvious symbol of the power and authority of the Justice Department is the Street Judge. These formidable individuals are responsible for the strict enforcement of the law on the dangerous streets of the ‘Big Meg', where they act as judge, jury and executioner. Crimes ranging from littering to first-degree murder fall within their remit and the punishments of a perpetrator can vary from a stern word of admonition, a crack on the head with a daystick, to imprisonment in an isolation cube or, in the most serious cases, a Lawgiver execution round. Becoming a Judge is a lifelong undertaking and many individuals falter on the arduous path. Some end up on the streets disenchanted and bitter at what might have been whilst for many Street Judges Resyk will be their final destination.

Larger blocks have a secure armoury in which most of the Citi‐Defs weapons are stored. This includes not only small arms but also various explosives and an array of heavy weapons. Unfortunately, some less than stable squad leaders have been known to abuse this authority when reacting to a troublesome neighbouring block. Contains 3 figures on foot, in Warlord Resin.
