The Cerberus is a rare variant of the Spartan chassis that uses its massive hull to mount a prototype neutron laser projector, as well as the sizable arc-reactors and radiation shielding needed to operate the weapon. The neutron laser is poorly understood by the adepts of the Mechanicum, but stands among the most effective anti-tank weapons available to the Space Marine Legions, capable of punching through the strongest plating and shorting out its target’s systems with bursts of radiation. The terrible toll the Cerberus takes on its crew is regarded by many commanders as a necessary cost, for this impressive tank can threaten even Titan-class opponents. This multipart plastic kit builds a Legion Cerberus, a massive tank capable of laying waste to the largest of targets. Its armoured hull is dominated by the triple-barreled neutron laser battery that gives the tank its name, but you’ll also find loads of options for auxiliary weapons. The Cerberus sports a pair of sponson-mounted weapons – your choice of heavy bolters, heavy flamers, lascannons, or volkite culverins, which can be assembled gluelessly to adjust their positioning as you see fit. The kit also includes components to upgrade the Cerberus with a pintle-mounted weapon – a havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta, or a combi-weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, melta, plasma, or volkite) – as well as a searchlight, a hunter-killer missile, and cosmetic options such as towing hooks, icons for Loyalists and Traitors, and a choice of a Space Marine gunner, spotter, or closed hatch. The Land Raider is regarded by many as the finest armoured fighting vehicle of its class in the Imperium’s arsenal, and is the mainstay battle tank of the Space Marine Legions. It is a phenomenally powerful war machine, its multi-layered composite armour and reinforced hull all but impervious to even heavy weapons, being a sealed unit designed to resist enemy attack from any approach. Intended to serve in almost any environment as both war machine and exploration vehicle, it can operate freely in war zones ranging from acid swamps to rad-deserts without any noticeable impediment to its performance, and can even operate in hard vacuum, ensuring there is no open battlefield on which its armoured wrath cannot be unleashed. This multipart plastic kit builds one Land Raider Proteus, a mighty battlefield transport employed by the Legiones Astartes. This vehicle can be assembled as either a Proteus Carrier with a frontal assault ramp for delivering troops or a Proteus Explorator with a dozer blade for traversing broken terrain. Both variants sport two sets of sponson-mounted lascannons, and can be equipped with your choice of hull-mounted weapon – twin-linked heavy bolters, heavy flamers, or lascannons. The Proteus Explorator also offers an alternate frontal hull with sealed armour plating and a visor. Heavy Support Squads provide the Legiones Astartes with mobile, infantry-portable firepower sufficient to bring down hordes of enemy troops or smash armoured vehicles apart with withering hails of fire, combining devastating armaments with all the flexibility of a footsoldier. Volkite culverins emit scorching heat rays that burn through swathes of infantry, while versatile autocannons spit shells that shred troops and light vehicles alike. Lascannons are the most powerful laser weapons available to Legionaries, firing devastating beams to punch clean through tank armour. This plastic upgrade kit can be used to equip Legionaries from the MKVI Tactical Squad set with powerful heavy weapons, suitable for use in a Legion Heavy Support Squad. The kit includes 10 volkite culverins, 10 autocannons, and 10 shoulder-mounted lascannons, along with arms suited to each weapon, allowing you to upgrade up to three Heavy Support Squads of 10 models, or six units of five models. Also included are four augury scanners which can be carried alongside a heavy weapon, allowing your Heavy Support Squads to detect and eliminate enemy units.
