    Azul Board Game

Designed by the world famous, award winning game author Michael Kiesling, Azul captures the beautiful aesthetics of Moorish art in a contemporary board game. Players compete as artisans decorating the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. By carefully drafting the correct quantity and style of tiles, the most clever of artisans plan ahead to maximise the beauty of their work (not to mention their scores!) while ensuring they wasted no supplies in the process. Introduced by the Moors, “azulejos” (originally white and blue ceramic tiles) were fully embraced by the Portuguese, when their King Manuel I, on a visit to the Alhambra palace in Southern Spain, was mesmerised by the stunning beauty of the Moorish decorative tiles. The king, awestruck by the interior beauty of the Alhambra, immediately ordered that his own palace in Portugal be decorated with similar wall tiles. Azul was the worthy winner of the very prestigious 2018 'Spiel Des Jahres' award!

    ,
There is nothing more dangerous than a mother protecting her young We have recently learned that somehow, on an isolated island in the Pacific Ocean, there is a female velociraptor living with five offspring. As a paleontologist and adventurer—as a man of science—your mission is to capture the baby raptors alive, or at least neutralise their fast, powerful, and protective mother by tranquilising her. It also means engaging in a ferocious struggle with one of the most vicious predators who ever walked the earth. Twilight Struggle Deluxe Edition Board Game

Quite simply, one of the greatest games ever made... In 1945, unlikely allies toppled Hitler's war machine, while humanity's most devastating weapons forced the Japanese Empire to its knees in a storm of fire. Where once there stood many great powers, there then stood only two. The world had scant months to sigh its collective relief before a new conflict threatened. Unlike the titanic struggles of the preceding decades, this conflict would be waged not primarily by soldiers and tanks, but by spies and politicians, scientists and intellectuals, artists and traitors. Twilight Struggle is a two-player game simulating the forty-five year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional flares of warfare between the Soviet Union and the United States. The entire world is the stage on which these two titans fight to make the world safe for their own ideologies and ways of life. The game begins amidst the ruins of Europe as the two new "superpowers" scramble over the wreckage of the Second World War, and ends in 1989, when only the United States remained standing. Twilight Struggle's Event cards add detail and flavor to the game. They cover a vast array of historical happenings, from the Arab-Israeli conflicts of 1948 and 1967, to Vietnam and the U.S. peace movement, to the Cuban Missile Crisis and other such incidents that brought the world to the brink of nuclear annihilation. Subsystems capture the prestige-laden Space Race as well as nuclear tensions, with the possibility of game-ending nuclear war.

    Warhammer Doomseeker Tabletop Card Game

    , ,
In Doomseeker, 2-4 players assume the role of Slayers to battle the monsters of the Old World and find a worthy death. Players will slay many foes, hoard gold, and purchase deadly new weapons. If lucky, players will find their deaths at the hands of an epic and terrible foe. The game’s rich contents are fully illustrated and bleed the raw chiselled flavour of the Warhammer Slayers. Fate cards can influence the outcome of battles for the player, or their opponents. The Doom Deck provides the monsters, beasts, and other denizens of the Warhammer world that each Slayer will seek to overcome to obtain gold and renown. With gold earned, a Slayer can purchase weapons and artefacts from the Treasure Deck that can aid them in battle, from rune encrusted axes to cleave your foe, to a hearty cask of Bugman’s finest! Each player faces battle until that fateful encounter that results in their death. Even in death, however, the player can still play Fate cards and influence battles. Betting amongst the dead is encouraged as well, as each bet placed and won earns that player more renown. Once every Slayer meets their end, or if there are no more Dooms with which to battle, the winner is the Slayer with the most renown. Only the greatest of Slayers will rest in victory!

    Targi Board Game (Kosmos Games)

A Targi is a male member of the Tuareg people, who live in the Sahara desert. As tribe leader, you will be trading dates, salt, and pepper to obtain coveted gold coins and advantages. In the game, the desert is a five-by-five grid of cards. Position your Targi figures on the cards that border the desert. You carry out the actions of those cards as well as the cards at the crossroads between them. If you don’t go to the merchant, you won’t be able to trade — and even worse, your opponent will. Or maybe a caravan will bring the merchandise you desire. There are many choices to consider. But don’t wait too long, the desert is harsh and you might miss an opportunity to make a deal. In the next round, a completely different set of offerings will be on the table. The goods cards are the means to the end of getting highly desired tribe cards. These in turn bring advantages during the game and victory points at the end. You can win only if you plan shrewdly and always keep some gold in your pocket.

Flamme Rouge is a fast-paced, tactical bicycle racing game where each player controls a team of two riders: a Rouleur and a Sprinteur.
